Read this first: Subway’s loyalty program has changed twice in ten months, and most coupon sites still describe versions that no longer exist. As of the April 1, 2026 terms, Sub Club is points-only — the famous “fourth Footlong free” stamp reward was retired. What follows is the current program, sourced from Subway’s own terms.
The honest 2026 picture: no paper coupons worth hunting, a points program worth about 5% back, a genuine $3.99 value menu, and — from October 27 — the best Footlong deal of the year for members. Full prices are on the Subway menu page.
Sub Club Today: Points Only
| Mechanic | How It Works |
|---|---|
| Join | Free — app or Subway.com |
| Earn | 10 points per $1 at participating US restaurants |
| Redeem | 400 points = $2 Subway Cash, in $2 blocks, off food and drinks (any part of a $2 block over your bill is forfeited — spend blocks on orders above the block) |
| Welcome bonus | 250 bonus points on joining (per current program reporting — confirm in the app) |
| Birthday | A birthday reward (typically a free cookie) when your birthday is saved in your profile |
| Expiry | Points expire after 6 months with no account activity; earning or redeeming resets the clock |
| Stacking | One Reward per order; rewards can’t be combined with other offers |
| Member offers | Exclusive deals delivered in the app — currently headlined by the BOGO below |

About the tiers you may have read about: Pro, Captain and All-Star tiers (10/11/12 points per $1, Free Chip Fridays) were features of MVP Rewards, the program Sub Club replaced in December 2025. Whether they survived is not confirmed in the current terms, which describe a flat 10 points per $1 — so this page doesn’t present them as current, and neither should any coupon site you trust.
The Program’s Wild Two Years (Why Sites Disagree)
1965–2005: paper stamps.
The original Sub Club was a stamp card — collect stamps, earn a free sub. It was discontinued in 2005 amid rampant stamp counterfeiting.
September 2023: MVP Rewards.
Points arrive: 10 per $1, 400 points = $2 Subway Cash, a 250-point signup bonus, and the Pro/Captain/All-Star tiers.
December 1, 2025: Sub Club returns.
The old name replaces MVP (members auto-migrated), headlined by stamps: any 3 Footlongs or 6 six-inch subs earned the 4th Footlong free.
April 1, 2026: stamps retired.
After a franchisee backlash (operators of 5,000+ locations petitioned), Subway ended the stamp reward, forfeited unredeemed stamps, and Sub Club became the points-only program above.
The BOGO Footlong: October 27 – November 8
Subway moved National Sandwich Day up a week to dodge Election Day, and the offer is the real thing: buy one Footlong, get one free (equal or lesser value) for Sub Club members — new members included — on app and online orders at participating US restaurants, October 27 through November 8, 2026. No code: it loads into members’ app wallets automatically. One per order, can’t be combined, add-ons and tax extra, not valid on third-party delivery. The same window brings back the Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub (gone since 2014) and the Caramel Apple Cookie (2021) — our Sandwich Day post has the full story.
The Fresh Value Menu: The Standing Deal
Launched April 28, 2026 — Subway’s first value menu — at participating restaurants (higher prices in CA, WA, AK, HI):
| Item | Price | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Deli Faves 6-inch | $3.99 | B.L.T., Cold Cut Combo, Spicy Pepperoni, Ham & Salami — fully customizable |
| Protein Pockets | $3.99 at launch stores | $4.99–$5.29 observed at other stores — check your app |
| Sub of the Day | $4.99 | Mon Meatball · Tue Tuna · Wed Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki · Thu Oven-Roasted Turkey · Fri Black Forest Ham · Sat Italian B.M.T. · Sun Spicy Italian |
| Meal of the Day | $6.99 | The day’s sub + chips + a drink |

One more reported offer, flagged as such: Sporked (October 13, 2026) described a “happy hour” BOGO-50% Footlong deal in the app (4 PM–close weekdays, all day weekends). Single-source — check your app’s offers tab rather than counting on it.
Promo Codes: The Honest Version
Subway’s code era (FL699-style Footlong codes, meal codes) has largely rotated into the app: most tracker-listed codes show expired as of mid-October 2026, codes are region-tiered, and crowd-sourced code sites list plenty that were never official. The current BOGO needs no code at all. Rule: if a deal isn’t in your app’s offers or wallet, it isn’t a deal. Gift cards remain the unglamorous standby — discount warehouse gift cards are a legitimate few percent off, and Subway gift cards work in-app.
Senior, Military & Student Discounts
There is no national Subway discount for seniors, military members or students — confirmed policy, not an oversight. Individual franchise owners sometimes offer a local discount at their own discretion (commonly around 10% military, 5–10% senior where offered). It is always worth asking at your store; it is never worth driving across town for.
Subway Deals FAQs
How does Sub Club work in 2026?
Points only: earn 10 points per $1, redeem 400 points for $2 of Subway Cash in $2 blocks. Points expire after 6 months without account activity, and one Reward can be used per order. The program’s terms were updated April 1, 2026.
Is the fourth Footlong free deal still running?
No. The stamp-based “Fourth Footlong Free” launched with Sub Club in December 2025 and was retired on April 1, 2026; unredeemed stamps were forfeited. Sites still advertising it are out of date.
How do I get the free Footlong in October 2026?
Be a Sub Club member (joining free counts) and order in the app or online between October 27 and November 8, 2026: buy one Footlong, get one free. It loads to your app wallet automatically — no code.
What is the cheapest meal at Subway?
A $3.99 Fresh Value Deli Fave or Protein Pocket; or the $6.99 Meal of the Day (sub + chips + drink) when you want the full combo, at participating restaurants.
Do Subway promo codes work?
Mostly they have rotated into app offers. Tracker-listed codes are frequently expired or region-locked — the app wallet is the source of truth, and the current BOGO needs no code.
Does Subway offer a senior or military discount?
Not nationally. Some individual franchises offer a discretionary local discount — ask at your store.
Conclusion
Join Sub Club for the points and the BOGO window, eat off the Fresh Value shelf when it’s there, and ignore any site selling you stamps, tiers or codes from a program that no longer exists. The secret menu techniques stack on top for free.
